Found Beauty.

I saw this beautiful flower while walking to
the car from church Saturday. I got my
camera and went back for a closer look.
I imagine I've passed it by several
times the past few weeks.
I sat my butt down and admired this "Carolina Cherokee
Rose" plant. I imagine people thought I was a little off center.
I suppose I am no longer shy when it comes to snapping.

This rose has quite a folk lour story. "The trail
of Tears", the tears of Cherokee mothers
who's children died on the "Trail of tears",
As they walked to the Reservation in
Oklahoma, from Georgia, South and
North Carolina's.

Bream on Bed.

In my area the Bream are
on the Bed. Which means
they are ready to lay eggs.
I hope my Blogger friend's can see these
Photos. These Bream are on the bed,
another fun thing to see in natures
cycle. Please forgive the poor clarity
of the photos. The reflections are difficult.

Watching the fish on the bed is this
Great Blue Heron. You can bet it's
looking for a meal. That is in the
natural order of nature.

Please click on photos for a better view.

Nesting Blue Bird's.

I've been watching the
Blue Bird Box for a while,
I believe there has been
one sitting and now this is
the second. There are 4 eggs
when I checked yesterday.
Blue Bird's are very tolerant of humans.
Inspecting the nest box doesnt seem to
bother them. I usualy check several times
during each nesting.

I sometimes open the Box and take photos
of the inside of the nest, and eggs.
I may do that later, but not just yet.
I enjoy watching the progress of the nesting.

More Oyster Roast.

There was more than Oyster's
to eat. There were casserole's
of every kind on one table,
crock pots on another table.
Everyone brought their favorite
dish. A table for deserts, A table
for chips and dips, and a table
for favorite home cooked recipes.

There was entertainment, a D.J. and
He realy gets everyone involved in group
dancing, from the Mexican Hat Dance to
the Electric slide, and and even the
bunny hop. Young and old gettin it on.

These fellows realy got it rolling.
Below, there were 5 tents this
size due to threatened rain.

Ya'll Come Now Ya-Hear!!!

Oyster Roast.

In early February we attended
an Oyster Roast, as we have for the
last 4 or 5 years.
Gotta have a hot fire to roast these bad boys.
Yummmmmmeee.

You must have the oyster's cause they are
on the menue. Lots of oysters, yes.

The fire is hot; dump the oysters
on the iron plate.

Hose them down with water, then

Cover them with a wet burlap fabric.

Now comes the important part. You must
have an expert to check on the oysters
so you know when they are done. Two
experts are better than one.

When the shells pop open theyare done.
Now shovel them up and dump on tables.

There were probably over 200 people served
this past February 2011. See My next blog for
some more of the story.
Ya'll come now ya-hear!!

Azaleas in Bloom.

A soft and gentel rain, lay softly
on these flowers, like tears from Heaven.

Spring is when you feel like whistling,
even with your shoe's full of slush !
(Doug Larson)

Spring awakens the busiest of all Gods creatures,
the Honeybee, to spread spring far and wide.
