White Heron & Great Blue Heron

Time Marches on.

For some of us

Time is a Sprinter.

Decembers Birds v.

What Creature is this?

Sure looks strange to me.

 It was preening itself.

Decembers Birds IV.

This fellow was anxious to find

some food, pacing back and forth.

It even seemed to  strut at times.

Looking low.

Looking high, for some morsel of food.

Early morning Grebe.

First light, stirring to get warm.

Peaceful Morning.

Decembers Birds III.

I have not seen any thing like this. In the late
afternoons these Blue Birds show up in
numbers that are unbelievable. I will post
more later.

These guys are not Extinct.

Birds of December.

The King Fisher still escapes me.
It loves this wire that stretches
for several hundred yards. It has
a commanding view of several
"(slough, slew, slue) How about those definitions"
It will not stand still for a photo-op.

Grebe Feeding.

Look close and you can see a

Shrimp in it's beak.

I don't know what I thought the
Grebe ate, but I was surprised
to see a shrimp in it's beak.
I was even more surprised when
I Googled Grebe and saw all
That they do eat.
They are Alligators with feathers.

Cat and the Chicken II

Oh !

So foolish, and young too.

Round 2.

A Chicken is just a bird.

Ain't No Chicken hear.

K.F.C. What's that ???

I win again.

Cat and the Chicken.

Oh!

You brave but foolish Cat.

"Cat on a hot tin roof" or,
The object of it's foolish
attention.

The poor cat turned it's head away
from me as if to say "What to do, what to do?

My advice,
"Leave well enough alone"
