There were 4 babies. We located
3, the 4th we think was high up
in a tree. I don't know which of
these is which. They were hard  
to track .

Woodpeckers.

These were attracted to the Birdbath.

More Summer Tanager.

A re-visit, and I hope it will bring

his mate with him next time.

I hope this is going to be a habit.

Summer Tangier.

I have seen these Birds in my yard before.

Not very often Though.

 " Summer Tanager "

Notice, no top knot of feathers,
no black face, beak is yellow
and pointed. This must be a
juvenile, the adult male is solid red.

The drought continues with

no relief in sight.



And all creatures seek relief.

Grey Heron

This was very Interesting.

With my trusty camera by

my side I saw this Grey Heron's

head, it's body hidden by the weeds.

I decided to snap a pic anyway.

I think I disturbed the herons meal.

Look up in the right hand corner

and see an insect perched on a weed stem..
