We Give Thanks.

Forever on Thanks Giving day
The Heart will find the pathway Home.
"Wilber B. Nesbit"

For the last four years, or more we have been
fortunate to find a place on Tybee Island Ga.
to celebrate our Thanks Giving meal. We have
been blessed with good weather and everyone
goes down on the beach after the meal and we
enjoy the sand and surf . In the past years some
of the teens have gone swimming in the surf. I
Don't know if its their hardiness or lack of good sence.
May God Bless you all and us to.

For Castles in the sand, we are thankfull.

We are Thankfull, to be able to watch Children
Discover things for the first time.

More Wandering Bulloch County.

I am surprised at what you can find
along the road, while wandering.

Cypress Swamp, Bulloch County Ga.

"God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone,
but on the tees, and flowers and clouds and stars."
( Martin Luther)

and I would add "and all of nature"

I had no luck finding someone I might get permission
to go into this swamp. I own a canoe and would like
to paddle around and take pictures. It is full of birds
and wildlife. I will go back and try again to find
some one. It sure is beautiful !

Fall is so slow, here.

I do appreciate the color of the few leaves
that we do have. They breathe life into an otherwise
dreary time of year

I wonder if Fairies gather the color of the leaves
in bucketts of paint, and save it to paint the
colors of flowers in spring.

Hinesville Ga. Bacon Frasier House.

The Bacon, Frasier House was built on a 23 acre tract of land
situated on the eastern boundry of the town of Hinesville in
1839 by Mary Jane Bacon, widow of Major John Bacon. The
house has been owned and lived in by their heirs until the
present time.
The architecture is "Plantation Plain" style and its workmanship
reflects the work of the best craftsman of the day. The front
and two story section remain virtualy unchanged. However, the
two shed rooms and kitchen to the rear were removed and
additional rooms added in 1923. The 1923 section was removed
in 1979-80 and replaced with shed rooms porch dining room and
kitchen on the original foundation in the original architectural style
and interior design of the 1839 era.
A detachment of Shermans Army assulted the Plantation in 1864
pillaging, looting, and burning. The house was spared the tourch, but
the barn and all outbuildings were burned by the northern troops.

These trees near the house are not verry old but
they are absolutely beautiful..

Darian Georgia Oak.

This is the Oak tree in Darian that fascinates me.
It is massive.

This is a Tabby wall that seems to hold up the old Oak.
