Driving along spotted
this on a tree.
It is similar to a Sulfur Shelf Mushroom

I have seen but it is more of a bright
yellow until is gets old and drys up.

Glad you stopped to get some pictures.The fungus is a unique life form and rally quite lovely.
We had fungus like this that grew on trees in Deep East Texas where I lived until about three weeks ago. They make beautiful photos.
