Blue bird box update ?

Still 4 eggs in box.
Verry light activity
at this time. I plan to
observe more for
an increase in activity..
Took these last afternoon. She is checking me out.

This nest box will have to be taken
down and refurbished.
I have a box ready to go
up in it's place.
The danger is when the entrance
hole gets so rough it damages the
feathers, not good.

Ooh, how I love Blue birds.
Fantastic shots of yours maybe if you are lucky, you'll see the babies.
We have four eggs in our box, moma and daddy have been very busy, darting in and out.

I cleaned out my bluebird house... twice.... rinsed it... got it all nice and ready for business. The bluebirds didn't migrate this year... they made an appearance all winter.. pecking on the window.. eating the provided food. They kept going in and out of the house but no nest... so I cleaned it again... they seemed pleased the next day and then two days later, distressed and angry.. pecking so much on the window of our house that I thought someone was knocking at the door. I checked the bluebird house.. and in the span of two days, the industrious chickadees had build a complete soft moss nest inside. Mr. bluebird sat there and stared at me... I shrugged... "not my problem if you are lazy"... now you will just have to wait. Two weeks ago I found bits of what look like a tiny shell adhered to a low window and a stream of dried goo running down... could the bluebird in a fit of rage.. or as much rage as a birdbrain can muster up... could he have stolen a chickadee egg from the nest and flung it at our window? I may have to get a ladder out and check the nest... poor chickadees... I hope they have success.

It's so nice that you have another blue bird house ready to put up. Gee, you should check to see if my name is on it first....
Love the pictures. Were the blue birds there when I was there?
