Alligators and Turtles Sunning

On a Warm Spring Day the

Animal Kingdom can be seen

doing what comes naturally.

Sunning themselves, of course.

They are most gracious Hosts,
Always glad to see me,
Always Smiling.



There were two Gators here
sharing an island all their own



Even turtles enjoy the sun.

I hope you can see the two heads,
Together, smilling, always smiling.



Feathered Togetherness

Feathered Romance.

in the Spring.

Hopefully this leads to nesting, 
and laying eggs, and I'll get to
take photos of the ducklings.



Fowl Reflections.

Setting Sun Reflections,

and wild fowl together

make for a tranquil scene.

Tranquil--free from commotion or tumult;
peaceful; quiet; calm: a tranquil country
place.

If you don't get your ducks
in a row, you will be replaced.

Baby duckling's swim in a straight
line behind the mother duck. If the
ducklings stray to far, the mother
duck will get them back in line, that
is get her ducks in a row.

Ahhhh Spring; Romance.

Before the first flower Buds crack

open, the Animal kingdom feels

the effects of Spring. Romance.

The search for a Mate begins.

Even while the wind's are still cold.

The Animal Kingdom, feathered as
well as the furry, the search is on.

Early Spring

I feel that Spring is probably
the most welcome season of all.
A gift from God.

Aligators and Turtles.

It's my understanding the

alligator has remained unchanged

for 187 million years. So 

I will not try to change it.



The alligator can sit motionless for
long periods of time. I've tried to
outlast their motionlessness, and I fail
every time. I've even asked "what
are we going to do next" never got
an answer yet.



I've had people ask "ever eaten gator tail"
No and I don't want it to eat mine either.
But seriously they are very misunderstood.



Turtle soup ? No thanks.



I've never had a Gator threaten me
in any way. don't bother them and
they will not bother you.

Besides, they are always
Smiling.

Blue Heron and it's Catch.

When it's time to eat

this young Heron 

doesn't hesitate.
Notice the fish in it's beak.

Lightening fast it is,
A meal, in the blink
of an eye and the
thrust of it's beak.

Silently, patiently, determined,

Survival is serious business.



Stork on a Stump



Just recently the Wood Stork was
moved from Endangered species
to Threatened.



Swamp, Wood Storks.

The Wood Stork has

beautiful Plumage,

But no feathers to

cover its head.



It doesn't seem to mind having

it's photograph taken.



But I'll not sit long it says.



Let's Hunt the Stork"s

Bird watching is a bloodless expression of ManOs
primitive hunting instincts.
We have substituted Binoculars and cameras
for the gun, but we still seek a trophy
A new species on a life list, or a photograph
of one of EarthO's rarest and most
exquisite creatures. Our search may take us no
farther then a nearby meadow-or it can lead to
the cloud forest's of tropical mountains.
